These are the 8 steps to become an APD Officer.

While this is the general process, each position has its own nuances and may not exactly reflect some aspects within the video. Please reference each position’s information page for more details.



Step 3 - Qualifying for the job position and selecting a test date

This video will guide you through submission of the initial interest card and selecting a testing date for the job position.



Step 4 - Explanation of the documentation required

This video will guide you through how to complete the necessary paperwork for testing day.



Step 5 - Testing Date: what to bring and what happens after

This video will explain what you will need to bring with you to your testing date and what will happen after you complete the initial written test.

Step 7 - The polygraph examination

This video explains about the polygraph testing step for the Albuquerque Police Department. Just be honest.
